Incorrect authorization in Open WebUI before 0.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to add arbitrary files to read-only knowledge bases. The process_uploaded_file path trusts metadata.knowledge_id and commits a KnowledgeFile row before checking write access; a later failed vector-write check leaves that row intact. Exploitation requires a verified account and a valid knowledge-base ID, and it alters shared file membership while exposing the added file to authorized readers.
