CVE-2026-59167Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Script execution via retained event-handler attributes

Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026

Cross-site scripting in SunEditor before 2.47.11 allows remote attackers to execute script through crafted editor content. The sanitizer in src/lib/core.js accepts namespaced or custom elements without consistently stripping their event-handler attributes, so rendered content retains executable handlers. Execution requires an application to render attacker-controlled editor content and a user to interact with the crafted element; script then runs in that application's browser origin.
