Process crash via negative shared-string index
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Uncaught exception in QI-ANXIN GROUP Excelize before 2.11.0 allows attackers to crash a consuming process via a crafted XLSX file. The xlsxC.getValueFrom function converts a shared-string cell value with strconv.Atoi, checks only the upper bound, and indexes the slice with an accepted negative value. Reachability requires a consuming application to read an attacker-supplied workbook through GetCellValue or GetRows; without panic recovery, the process terminates.
