CVE-2026-59149Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated file disclosure via prefix-only path check

Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Path traversal in Mockoon before 9.7.0 allows remote attackers to read files outside the served directory through crafted FILE responses. In getSafeFilePath, resolvedPath.startsWith(staticBaseDir) accepts a sibling path that shares the base string because the check lacks a path-separator boundary. Exploitation requires an exposed mock API with a FILE response whose filePath template incorporates request-controlled body, query, URL, or header data; successful requests disclose files in matching sibling paths.
