Out-of-bounds memory access in Data::DisjointSet::Shared before 0.02 allows local users to corrupt memory or crash Perl via a backing file. dsu_find treats a parent array value loaded from the shared backing file as the next node index without checking it against the node count, then reads and path-compresses through that index. Exploitation requires write access to a valid backing file; a poisoned parent value is consumed by the next find or union operation.
