Local secret disclosure via decryption timing
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Information disclosure in AMD Zen on affected Microsoft Windows releases allows local users to recover application secrets through timing. Applications using specific legacy cryptography and Windows APIs decrypt attacker-modifiable stored ciphertext with data-dependent timing. Low-privilege access, modification of a stored encrypted secret, and precise timing across many decryption attempts are required; only the original secret is exposed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
