Algorithmic complexity in Pathway 0.31.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt document-store services via crafted glob patterns. The globmatch implementation in the KNN LSH classifier explores consume and descend branches for every double-star segment without caching pattern-and-path states, causing exponential work on a nonmatching path. Default REST routes accept filepath_globpattern without authentication or complexity limits, so several small requests consume worker CPU and deny service.
