CVE-2026-59091Public exploitHinoki check available

Code execution and disclosure via out-of-bounds writes

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Out-of-bounds writes in GIMP file plug-ins on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, and 9 allow attackers to execute code via crafted images. Red Hat identifies the PSD and PAA loaders but has not published the specific functions, fields, or unchecked calculations that write beyond memory bounds. Exploitation requires a local user to open an untrusted image; memory corruption exposes data, crashes GIMP, or enables code execution in that user's context.
