Cookie modification via DevTools policy bypass
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Policy bypass in Google Chrome before 147.0.7727.55 allows attackers to modify cookies for enterprise-restricted hosts via an extension. DevTools fails to enforce enterprise host restrictions when a crafted Chrome extension modifies cookies; Google has not disclosed the affected code path. Exploitation requires a user to install the malicious extension, after which it can change cookies for hosts that enterprise policy was intended to protect.
