Omnibox spoofing via crafted domain name
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Incorrect security UI in Google Chrome on iOS before 147.0.7727.55 allows remote attackers to spoof the Omnibox via a crafted domain name. Google has not publicly disclosed the Omnibox logic that renders the crafted domain name as misleading URL-bar content. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled content, and the bounded consequence is false origin information in the URL bar.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
