Sandboxed code execution via invalid Media input
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Improper input validation in Media in Google Chrome before 147.0.7727.55 allows remote attackers with compromised renderers to execute sandboxed code. Google has not published the affected Media locus or the validation operation performed incorrectly on attacker-controlled input. A crafted HTML page and prior renderer compromise are required; execution remains inside the browser sandbox, with no published sandbox escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
