Sandboxed code execution via V8 type confusion
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome before 147.0.7727.55 allows remote attackers to execute code in the sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies V8 as the locus, but the restricted bug report and release notice do not disclose which value receives an incompatible type or which operation misinterprets it. A user must load the crafted page; successful exploitation executes arbitrary code inside Chrome’s sandbox, with no documented sandbox escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
