Sandboxed code execution via V8 type confusion
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome before 147.0.7727.55 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTML page. The public record does not disclose which V8 operation assigns or consumes an incompatible runtime type, and the linked Chromium issue remains restricted. A user must open the crafted page; successful exploitation executes code inside Chrome's sandbox, with no demonstrated sandbox escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
