CVE-2026-58641

Local privilege escalation via integer overflow

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Integer overflow in Microsoft .NET before 8.0.30, 9.0.19, and 10.0.11 allows attackers to elevate privileges locally. Microsoft's public records do not identify the affected subsystem or arithmetic site, disclosing only that an integer calculation in .NET can overflow or wrap. The Microsoft CVSS vector shows a local attack with no prior privileges but required user interaction, so triage centers on systems where untrusted local users or files can reach the vulnerable code path.
