Authenticated arbitrary file write via JGit commands
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Improper input validation in Apache MINA SSHD 2.0.0 through 2.18.0 and 3.0.0-M1 through 3.0.0-M4 allows remote authenticated users to write files. GitPgmCommandFactory accepts any JGit command from an SSH session, including git archive --output, which writes to an attacker-chosen server path. Exposure requires an authenticated SSH account and a server configured with GitPgmCommandFactory; servers without that factory are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
