Sandboxed code execution via V8 use-after-free
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Use after free in V8 in Google Chrome before 147.0.7727.55 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies a memory-lifetime error in V8, but the restricted Chromium issue does not disclose the affected object or stale-reference operation. A user must open the crafted page, and successful exploitation remains confined to the browser sandbox absent a separate escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
