Unauthenticated code execution via double-extension upload
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Creative Themes Blocksy Companion before 2.1.47 allows remote attackers to execute PHP via crafted filenames. The Advanced Reviews save_attachments handler passes uploads through a Custom Fonts strpos() substring check that accepts .woff2 anywhere in the filename rather than validating the final extension. Exploitation requires the Pro code paths with Advanced Reviews and Custom Fonts active and a server configured to execute uploaded PHP.
