Administrator takeover via startup-seeded default credentials
Published Jul 2, 2026 · Updated Jul 2, 2026
Use of default credentials in EstrellaXD AutoBangumi before 3.2.8 allows remote attackers to gain administrator access through the login endpoint. The add_default_user() startup routine creates an administrator with the publicly documented admin and adminadmin credentials whenever the users table is empty. Exposure requires a network-reachable deployment whose seeded credentials remain unchanged; successful login grants control over RSS feeds, downloader settings, and authenticated APIs.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
