Authenticated persistent code execution via popen trigger
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
Code injection in JAIOTlink C492A-W6 firmware 4.8.30.57701411 allows remote authenticated users to execute persistent shell scripts. The /Anyka/config handler passes the fixed writable path /etc/jffs2/anyka_cfg.ini to popen() as a command instead of reading it as configuration data. Exploitation requires credentials and a separate write primitive, such as the documented SetMAC injection, but code staged in JFFS2 survives reboots.
