CVE-2026-58447Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-user playlist deletion via unscoped index lookup

Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026

Broken object authorization in Invidious through 2.20260626.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete others' playlist videos via crafted indexes. The playlist_ajax remove_video action passes a user-supplied global video index to PlaylistVideos.delete, whose SQL filters only by index rather than playlist ID. A standard account, an indexId exposed by a public or unlisted native playlist, an attacker-owned playlist ID, and a valid CSRF token suffice to permanently delete the targeted entry.
