Private team data disclosure via missing token checks
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Gitea 1.26.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read private team resources through API requests. The /api/v1/teams/{id} route group omits organization context, while its repository and activity handlers skip public-only filtering. Exploitation requires a public-only token for a team member and exposes private repository metadata and team activity, without reported modification or service interruption.
