Artifact disclosure and staging write via HMAC ambiguity
Published Jul 3, 2026 · Updated Jul 3, 2026
Authorization bypass in Gitea Actions Artifacts V4 1.22.0 through 1.26.1 allows remote authenticated users to read or write artifacts. The signed-URL builder concatenates endpoint, expiry, artifact name, task ID, and artifact ID without boundaries, while verification trusts rewritten task and name fields instead of binding the signed artifact ID. Actions-job permission and a running target task are required; forged URLs expose cross-repository artifacts or alter another task's upload staging data and metadata.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
