Authenticated SSRF via unvalidated migration redirects
Published Jul 3, 2026 · Updated Jul 3, 2026
SSRF in Gitea 1.25.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read internal Git repositories through repository migration. The migration endpoint validates only the submitted clone URL, then git clone follows an attacker-controlled HTTP 302 redirect to an internal address without revalidation. A regular account with repository-creation permission, a reachable redirect server, enabled migrations, and server access to the target network are required.
