Root access via network-exposed ADB authorization
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Active debug code in Allwinner H616 TV Box TV98 allows remote attackers to gain root access through network-exposed ADB authorization. The production configuration leaves Android Debug Bridge enabled on the network and processes an authorization request that grants a root-level session after approval. Exploitation requires the device user to approve the request; successful access permits privileged control of the TV box.
