Authentication bypass in Woodpecker before 3.15.0 allows remote authenticated users to run unapproved fork pipelines through GitLab. The GitLab webhook converter assigns pipeline.Author from the unverified commit author name, and needsApproval compares that value with ApprovalAllowedUsers. A user able to open a fork merge request can spoof an allowlisted name, execute attacker-controlled agent steps, and read CI secrets exposed to the run.
