Session impersonation via identifiers written to traces
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Information disclosure in SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP allows attackers to obtain valid session identifiers from diagnostic traces. When a privileged user activates diagnostic tracing, the server writes sensitive session identifier information into the resulting trace without preventing later disclosure. Access to trace data enables impersonation only while the exposed identifiers remain valid; integrity and availability are unaffected.
