Proxy crash via header_rewrite out-of-bounds write
Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Apache Traffic Server allows remote attackers to crash the proxy or corrupt memory via header_rewrite. The vendor has not disclosed which cookie-operation or CIDR-matching routine performs the out-of-bounds write or how untrusted input reaches it. Reachability requires the header_rewrite plugin and an affected cookie or CIDR rule; affected releases are 8.0.0 through 8.1.9, 9.0.0 through 9.2.14, and 10.0.0 through 10.1.3.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.0.0 <=10.1.3
