CVE-2026-5817

Host code execution via unsandboxed tokenizer loading

Published May 22, 2026 · Updated May 22, 2026

Code execution in Docker Model Runner in Docker Desktop 4.62.0 and later, before 4.68.0, allows local users to run Python on macOS. The vllm-metal backend passes trust_remote_code=True to AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained, importing Python from an untrusted OCI model without sandboxing. Any container on the Docker network can request model inference, causing the code to run as the Docker Desktop user on the host.
