OS command injection in WNC Corporation T-Mobile 5G Box IDU before 1.1.0.651412 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The portal.cgi password-change handler fails to neutralize shell metacharacters in the http_passwd_hidden and http_passwdConfirm_hidden parameters before invoking an operating-system command. Access to the authenticated web interface is required, and successful exploitation grants control of the router's underlying operating system.
