Unauthenticated root command execution via cli_cookie injection
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
OS command injection in WNC T-Mobile 5G Box IDU before 1.1.0.651412 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root. The /cgi-bin/portal.cgi handler concatenates the cli_cookie POST value directly into a find command without sanitization. No authentication is required, and successful injection grants root-level command execution on the router firmware.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
