DAG-author code execution via unrestricted exception reconstruction

Deserialization in Apache Airflow 3.0.0 through 3.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code in scheduler and API server processes. BaseSerialization.deserialize passes an exception class name from serialized DAG data to import_string() and invokes the imported object with attacker-controlled arguments. DAG-author access is required; scheduler deserialization or an authenticated DAG-details read triggers execution with process credentials and secrets.
