Credential disclosure via cleartext guest support logging
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Credential exposure in Veeam Backup & Replication 13.0.2.29 and earlier 13.x builds allows local users to recover guest OS credentials. The Application-Aware Processing workflow writes the guest processing account's credentials in cleartext to a support log on the processed guest. Exploitation requires read access to that guest log and exposes privileged account credentials without altering data or interrupting service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
