Database write replay via stale statement iterator
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
TOCTOU race in node:sqlite in Node.js 22.x, 24.x, and 26.x allows remote attackers to re-execute database writes. SQLTagStore calls sqlite3_reset() directly on a cached prepared statement, bypassing StatementSync iterator invalidation before rebinding parameters. Exploitation requires an application to use DatabaseSync#createTagStore() with statement iterators and a user-driven sequence; the bounded consequence is unintended database modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=22.23.1 <=22.23.1
- Affected versionversion=24.18.0 <=24.18.0
