CVE-2026-58024Network attack vector

Private-wiki account discovery via interwiki lookup

Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026

MediaWiki before 1.43.9, 1.44.6, 1.45.4, or 1.46.0 allows remote authenticated users to identify accounts on private wikis. The ApiUserrights module accepts interwiki user references and performs the cross-wiki lookup without restricting it to accounts the requester may query. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and passive user interaction; it exposes account existence but does not alter wiki data or interrupt service.
