Embargoed video disclosure via forged GET request
Published Aug 22, 2026 · Updated Aug 22, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in WWBN AVideo through commit 9c39d8c8 allows remote attackers to publish embargoed videos via a crafted GET request. The releaseVideoNow.json.php endpoint reads an attacker-chosen videos_id from $_REQUEST and performs a permanent publication without verifying request authenticity, while the automatic CSRF guard covers only POST. An administrator or video owner must load attacker-controlled content with a session cookie that reaches the endpoint; only scheduled videos are exposed, and no other content is altered.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
