Privilege escalation in phpMyFAQ before 4.1.5 allows remote authenticated users with GROUP_EDIT rights to gain full administrative control. GroupController::updatePermissions passes each attacker-supplied group_rights value to grantGroupRight without checking that the caller holds that right. Exploitation requires a non-SuperAdmin account with GROUP_EDIT and membership in the targeted group, whose inherited rights can reach full administrative control.
