Protected-field disclosure via unchecked sort expressions

Authorization bypass in Yahoo Elide 7.1.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to infer protected field values through sorting. SortingImpl.getValidSortingRules validates only path structure and sends forbidden client-supplied fields to the data store for ORDER BY processing. Access to a readable collection is sufficient; row ordering reveals relative values, and attacker-controlled boundary rows enable exact-value recovery.
