CVE-2026-57948Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Session hijacking via unprotected JWT cookie

Published Jun 29, 2026 · Updated Jun 29, 2026

Insecure session management in Pinpoint 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to hijack authenticated sessions via an exposed JWT cookie. BasicLoginService.createNewCookie creates pinpointJwt but never calls setHttpOnly(true) or setSecure(true) before the response adds the cookie. Exposure requires basicLogin; browser-origin JavaScript can steal the token, or a network observer can intercept it when HTTP is used, enabling replay of the victim's session.
