Unauthenticated certificate issuance via Sentry impersonation
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
Improper certificate validation in Ivanti EPMM before 12.6.1.1, 12.7.0.1, and 12.8.0.1 lets remote attackers obtain client certificates. Ivanti identifies improper validation in the Sentry trust flow but has not disclosed the affected code locus or the exact certificate check that is omitted. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation impersonates a registered Sentry host and obtains a certificate trusted by the EPMM CA.
