CVE-2026-57822Network attack vector

Authenticated broker denial of service via deserialization

Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

Java deserialization in Apache Artemis 2.50.0 through 2.56.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt broker service. The broker's message-based management parameter processor deserializes certain supplied method parameters even when the invoked method does not use them, permitting payloads that consume excessive computation and pin its processing thread. Exploitation requires a messaging client with MANAGE permission; Apache ActiveMQ Artemis 1.3.0 through 2.44.0 is also affected, and the reported consequence is broker service interruption.
