CVE-2026-5779Network attack vector

Account takeover via unauthorized profile email changes

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Improper access control in mphrX Minerva 3.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to take over other accounts via profile updates. The /minerva/user/updateUserProfile endpoint accepts another user's object reference and changes that user's email without object-level authorization. An authenticated account can then redirect the victim's password reset through /webconnect/#/forgotPassword and gain control of that account.
