Remote code execution via freed RDB buffer reuse
Published Oct 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Memory corruption in FalkorDB before 4.18.1 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted RDB replication streams. RdbLoadDeletedNodes frees a deleted-nodes buffer when its length is not a multiple of sizeof(NodeID), but release builds remove ASSERT(), allowing the function to read the freed buffer and free it again. Exploitation requires access to Redis replication commands, such as on a passwordless instance, and code executes within the redis-server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
