Unauthenticated configuration overwrite via unrestricted API endpoint
Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
Missing authentication in Central Office Services 975 allows remote attackers on the same network to rewrite server configuration. The /v0/configuration endpoint persists user-supplied JSON without authentication, authorization, origin checks, or content validation. Network access to the COS server is required; changed storage, proxy, port, or service values enable data redirection, traffic interception, or testing-service interruption.
