Unauthenticated RCE via userRes SQL injection
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
Blind SQL injection in Control Web Panel before 0.9.8.1225 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL without authentication. The user endpoint embeds the unsanitized userRes POST value in a query executed with MySQL root and its global FILE privilege. Exploitation requires a known or guessed valid non-root username and enables a PHP webshell to run as cwpsvc from the web-accessible Roundcube logs directory.
