CVE-2026-57497Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Service interruption via buffered unknown capsules

Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026

Resource exhaustion in quic-go webtransport-go before 0.11.1 allows remote attackers to crash clients or servers with a large capsule. Session.parseNextCapsule() passes an unknown capsule reader to io.ReadAll, retaining the entire declared body while reads reopen the QUIC flow-control window. Any peer able to establish a WebTransport session can exhaust process memory; the reported impact is service interruption without data disclosure or modification.
