Unauthenticated command execution via bridge-wake prompt injection
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Missing authentication in affected AgenticMail packages allows remote attackers to execute commands through a bridge-wake email. Before @agenticmail/claudecode 0.2.39, @agenticmail/codex 0.1.33, @agenticmail/core 0.9.43, and @agenticmail/openclaw 0.5.71, handleBridgeMail passes untrusted sender, subject, and preview fields through composeBridgeWakePrompt to resumeBridgeSession without verifying the sender. Exploitation requires a configured headless bridge, externally routed mail, a host session less than 24 hours old, and a model that follows the injected instructions; success runs commands and reads or writes files as the operator.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
