Denial of service via unbounded chunked-body buffering
Published Oct 16, 2026 · Updated Oct 16, 2026
Resource exhaustion in PUPnP Portable SDK for UPnP Devices (libupnp) before 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to disrupt service via HTTP. In http_RecvMessage(), size checks use content_length, which stays zero for chunked transfers while decoded bytes accumulate beyond g_maxContentLength. Exploitation requires a reachable SOAP, GENA, miniserver, or control-point HTTP response path; the resulting service-interruption mode is not established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
