AWS credential theft via unchecked validation endpoints
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Authorization bypass in Jenkins EC2 Fleet Plugin 4.2.3.539.v8fedff2a_81c3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture AWS credentials. Several cloud-configuration form validation endpoints omit permission checks and use a supplied URL and credentials ID to make outbound connections. Overall/Read permission and prior knowledge of a valid credentials ID are required; the resulting request sends stored AWS credentials to an attacker-controlled service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
