Trusted script approval requests via GET-based CSRF
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
CSRF in Jenkins Pipeline: Groovy Plugin 4331.v9d06ed4658ff and earlier allows remote authenticated users to create trusted script approval requests. The Pipeline Snippet Generator accepts GET requests and instantiates any class whose constructor has @DataBoundConstructor instead of limiting requests to Pipeline steps and metastep delegates. A low-privileged attacker can cause a trusted user's browser to attribute an approval request to that user, supporting social engineering of an administrator into approving malicious script.
