Remote code execution via unchecked password copy

Stack-based buffer overflow in GeoVision GeoWebPlayer 1.1.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted message. The connectionInfo handler copies an attacker-controlled JSON password into the 128-byte password_enc stack buffer one byte at a time without enforcing a length limit. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious webpage while the local WebSocket server is available, enabling code execution in the GeoWebPlayer process.
